LA MER Intensive Revitalizing Mask // LA MER Soft Cream // LAURA MERCIER Tinted Moisturizer // BOBBI BROWN Pot Rouge

As much as I love to try out new lotions and potions (I’m on a major kick with this leave-in conditioner right now), there are a few products that I consider my mainstays – the products that no matter how many times I’ve tried to stray, I always (always) end up coming back to. They’re tried-and-true and worth every penny. Here, four of my forever favorites.

1. La Mer The Intensive Revitalizing Mask – I love, love, love masks. One of my favorite Wednesday night rituals is applying a mask before cozying up on the couch to watch RHONY (#netflixandmask). It’s 45-minutes of pure bliss, I tell you. Masks serve a multitude of skin problems. Whatever your skin concern (got a breakout? try this one.), there’s a mask for it. But when it’s moisture I’m after, this is the one I really love the most. It’s rich and creamy and, with hints of grapefruit and mint, it’s instantly refreshing. I apply a thick layer to my face and neck and then just let it soak on in. No rinse required. You just massage any excess product into your skin (or wipe it off with a tissue) and you’re done. My skin feels like it took a big drink of water after using it and it looks better and brighter in minutes.

2. La Mer Soft Cream – There are some products that are just worth the splurge and for me, this is one of them. There’s always so much hype around this one and I’m here to tell you that it’s for real. You’ve heard the raves for Créme de la Mer and this is the exact same magical stuff except that it’s just a little less heavy – which is perfect during the summer. My skin just feels healthier after using it. It delivers moisture without making my face feel oily or greasy and it never ever causes a breakout. Budget-friendly?Not so much. But here’s the good news: thanks to Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale, you can score this kit filled with minis of all the best La Mer products (including the Créme!) and try it out for yourself. I’m grabbing one (maybe two) for myself as it’s TSA-friendly and will  tuck right in to my carry-on bag. (Side note: Remember this post on my very favorite bra? It’s also part of the sale! Yippee!)

3. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer – I’ve been using this tinted moisturizer for years and years. I’ve tried others but I always end up coming back to this one. Here’s why: it’s light (I hate makeup that makes my skin feel cake-y) but still provides enough coverage to hide whatever skin dilemmas are happening that day. It’s like no makeup-makeup. Bonus: it has SPF! Sometimes I’ll layer the radiance powder on top as a highlighter. It’s an ideal mix.

4. Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge – If I were stranded on a desert island and could only bring one makeup product (besides SPF), blush would be it. Sometimes when I’m in a huge rush in the morning, I’ll skip over everything else and just put some blush on. It adds color and makes me look alive. For matte/powder blush, I consider Nars the best of the best. (Note: this palette is my favorite thing ever and it’s on major sale!) However, for cream blush, this one from Bobbi Brown is tip-top. I just blend a little bit on the apples of cheeks (sometimes I use it on my lips, too). It goes on super smooth and delivers just the right amount of color. Of the shades I’ve tried, “Fresh Melon” is my favorite. I always keep one in my purse as it’s a perfect pick-me-up when my makeup just needs a little refresh.
