Last night Highland Park Village hosted their holiday blogger event. I was honored to be amongst the invited bloggers to attend the event. Before sipping on delicious cocktails from Number One/Le Jus and enjoying bites created by Café Pacific’s chef, we all made our way around the Village to check out all of the goodies that are in store for holiday (and all of the fun things to come for Resort!). It was the best way to kick off the evening. From perfect stocking stuffers at Five and Ten (how adorable are those Dallas-inspired friendship bracelets?) to vintage jewels at Lela Rose, there were plenty of things that caught my eye. Here, I’ve shared a few of my favorite gems of the evening. If you’re in Dallas, head to Highland Park Village this weekend to see more.

I tried on quite a few things when I was preparing for the Lela Rose/Highland Park photos. With so many amazing things, it was hard not to want to try on everything in the store! Although I hate to pick favorites, this gown is it. It was one of those things that I wasn’t sure about when I first saw it on the hanger. (The color? The cut? I just didn’t know.) When I slipped it on, though, I knew I would I would love it. I adore the long sleeves, and the color is so versatile. It could be worn year-round. Sadly, it’s not hanging in my closet. It’s still living at the Lela Rose boutique. Add it to my wish-list? Absolutely.

I’m sure you all have been visiting all your favorite blogs to check out their latest gift guides. Now, you can find them all in one place. I’m so excited to be a part of To & From - an online gift guide curated by Meg and Katie. They worked with over 50 (!) style and design bloggers to create unique gift guides for everyone on your list. I put in my two cents with a guide curated for the “Girl Who Loves Color.” We all know a girl like that, don’t we?
Mixing prints can be tricky. It’s a good thing that Clover Canyon does the work for you. Known for their eye-catching prints and vivid color combinations, the brand has mastered the art of the mix. This blouse - with its bold stripes and oversized florals – is a perfect example of that. (So is this little dress for that matter.) Don’t let CC’s crazy prints scare you off. Their pieces are surprisingly easy to style: with so many colors in one piece, you’ve got plenty of choices when it comes to figuring out a good pairing.

Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. I had a chance to spend some time with my family, see a movie (Argo is a must-see!), and catch up some blog to-do’s – like this little gift guide here. From silk pajamas to glitter Margiela’s, here’s a little round-up of some items that might end up on my Christmas wish list. With so many deals going on today (check out J.Crew and Shopbop!), it’s a perfect day to get some holiday shopping crossed off your list.
A month or so ago I was approached by Highland Park Village to participate in their holiday blogger event. Seeing as HP Village is one of my favorite places to shop and one of my favorite spots during the holidays (the lights!), I was only thrilled to participate. And it only got better when I found out that Lela Rose would be dressing me for the event. What a fun way to kick off the holidays! A couple of weeks ago, I spent the afternoon playing in the Lela Rose boutique before snapping some photos. There are so many amazing things in there. I adore her feminine dresses – day dresses to cocktail to gowns, you’ll find it all! I’m also the biggest fan of her “Everyday” pant. It’s perfectly tailored and fits me to a T. I bought this brocade pair the minute I tried it on. Another favorite part of the day? Getting to peek inside William Noble. It was dreamy in there. It was like playing around in a big jewelry box – what girl doesn’t want to do that? They even let me wear a couple of those sparklers for the day. Check out all the fun details here. I’ll post more next week. Happy Holidays, indeed.

I hope you’re enjoying a day off with friends and fam – and plenty of food, of course! Happy Thanksgiving all!

I love a big handbag as much as the next girl, but lately I’m finding myself buying more and more of the smaller size goods. I love that I can throw a mini-clutch inside my handbag (it makes finding things much easier in the black hole that is my purse) during the day, and then simply grab it and go for a night out. These Clare Vivier zip clutches fit the bill. They’re totally adorable, aren’t they? They’re the perfect size to fit all of the essentials, and I’m crazy about the block stripe down the center. While I do love Vivier’s usual bright color combos (this red, white, and blue version is pretty fab), there’s something about the simplicity of the black and white options that feels so right for right now. Oh – and did I mention you can monogram these lovelies? Just adds that personal touch, you know? Here’s hoping Santa is listening…
The holidays have me thinking red right now. I can’t seem to resist the festive color during this time of year. Looking for ways to incorporate red into your wardrobe this season? Check out my latest feature on Oxygen Boutique. I’ve rounded up all things red. (My favorite of which is this Equipment blouse. Love it!) ‘Tis the season!
