Bright and bold defines the artwork of COZAMIA’S Nancy Ramirez. Her dynamic use of shapes and colors gives her mixed-media prints depth and interest. I also love how soothing and optimistic her color palettes are. Not to mention, the prices really can’t be beat! One of these unique pieces is soon to be on my home wish list! Be sure to check out her blog where you’ll discover the inspiration behind her work. Any favorites?
Before the temperatures dipped on Sunday, I was simply relying on my leather jacket to keep me warm. Like my jean jacket, this cropped leather jacket is one of my wardrobe staples. I pair it with everything from jeans to a cocktail dress. I picked up this Kelly Wearstler tee at Five & Ten last Friday, and I couldn’t resist throwing it on the never next day. I love cobalt blue color and the bold pattern – I would expect no less from Kelly Wearstler. Another blue detail – my new bracelet! This triple wrap is from Muses & Rebels. I met the designer a couple of months ago, and I fell in love with her pieces. The best news? I’ll be hosting a giveaway for TWO of her bracelets in the new few weeks! In the meantime, be sure to check out her site. Happy Valentine’s Day!
Happy Monday! I’m so excited to give you all a peek into what’s sure to be my new favorite shop: Five & Ten. The store, which is located in Highland Park Village, is the latest opening from Dallas’ Forty Five Ten – and if you love Forty Five Ten like I do then you’re sure to love its little sister! Five & Ten features an eclectic mix of items – everything from men’s and women’s apparel to home accessories to items for your pet. (My mom left the store with a pair of pink shoes in one bag and gingerbread dog bones in the other. There’s something in there for everyone!) You’ll find all your favorites from Forty Five Ten like Proenza Schouler PS1s and Lanvin footwear, but there’s also some new items in the mix like J. Brand’s latest apparel collection and Kelly Wearstler goodies. Head over there this week to check it out for yourself!
As we begin the transition into spring (I’m not sure we ever really had a “winter” here in Dallas), I’m looking to invest in some new pieces for my wardrobe. First on the list: a pencil skirt. It’s a classic piece that works year-round. I own a black version (purchased from J.Crew years ago), and, while I love it, I’m looking for one with a little something more – a print, or a bright color perhaps. I love this neon pink DVF one! Here’s a little round-up of some of my favorites.
How much do you love that pink chimney? I took one look at that image and I knew I needed to see more. Lucky for me, the former owner of that pink chimney happens to be a friend of mine, Avery Cox. I e-mailed her immediately asking her to send me images so I could share them with you all. Not only is Avery an incredibly talented interior designer, but she’s also got a blog that you’ll want to add to your bookmarks! This lady is über-creative and has an amazing eye for color (she’s the daughter of one of my favorite artists, after all). Aren’t these photos dreamy? I love the peek of her clothing along the side wall of her bedroom (Avery described her teeny apartment as a “walk-in closet”). Take a peek at these photos and then head over to her blog Ornamental Habit to get a daily dose of inspiration.
I’ve been waiting for this one. Shopbop’s latest sale is a must-shop! The sale has markdowns on tons of new items – including this Monrow dress that would be perfect paired with some sandals for spring. There’s also plenty of winter wear options to keep you warm (I’m in love with this cozy color block sweater from Vince). Lots of goodies here!
