When I think back on some of the best Christmas gifts I’ve ever received, Lucy Wrubel’s Mix of the Month immediately comes to mind. For those of you who don’t live in Dallas, you may not know that Lucy Wrubel is the best DJ around town – not to mention, one of the coolest ladies I’ve ever met. Seriously, nobody knows how to make a mix like Lucy – and with her MOM Club you can have her playlists coming out of your own home speakers. Just sign up right here and each month you’ll receive an 80-minute playlist from the DJ herself. (If you’ve got a music lover on your list, this is the gift for them!) I’ve enjoyed every single mix I’ve received this year. It’s the gift that keeps on giving!
‘Tis the season for holiday parties! There’s nothing I like more than a good party dress, and any of these options would do just fine at your next holiday fete. I usually opt for minis during this season, but I’m really loving this long metallic number by L’Agence (New Year’s Eve, perhaps?). You could pair any of these dresses with some glitzy earrings and a pair of nude heels, and you’d be cocktail ready in no time!
My day just got a whole lot brighter after seeing this DIY on Oh, Happy Day. Blogger Brittany Jepsen took a Candy Land approach to her holiday decorating with these light-up candy garlands. Have you ever seen anything so adorable? You can check out the step-by-step directions right here. These would be perfect decorations for any party! I’m thinking I’ve got a DIY coming up here…
Happy Monday! The countdown to Christmas is officially under two weeks – can you believe it? I was in major Christmas mode this weekend. I finished my gift shopping, started the wrapping process, and began to deliver the popcorn bags I ordered from I Love Popcorn – the most delicious popcorn ever! I also made some progress on finishing up my new apartment. With the help of my boyfriend, we managed to assemble my new shelves from Ikea. (Ok. Let’s be honest. He did most of the assembling…) Since the shelves are up, I have no excuse to not have that office unpacked this week. (You can follow me on Instagram @bagather for more apartment updates!) Hope you all had a great weekend!
I’ve had my eye on a fur vest since the beginning of fall, but after this week’s big chill here in Dallas, the vest just moved to the top of my wish list. It’s a wear-with-anything kind of piece, and it’s absolutely perfect for winter layering (throw it on over a sweater or cardigan for extra warmth!). So, which one to buy? The good news is that there’s plenty of options to choose from right now online. You can find some amazing steals right now like this under $100 BB Dakota version. There’s even several on SALE – check out this fab Club Monaco one or this Juicy one. Check out this little vest round up for plenty of options at all different price points. I would love to have one of these keeping me warm and toasty this winter!
