Do you all have any plans yet for New Year’s Eve? Since I can’t bring you all to the beach with me, I thought I’d bring a little poolside glam to your computer via artist Nina Nolte. These strikingly colorful paintings are a part of the German-based artist’s series “The Best is Yet to Come.” The poolside scenes are reminiscent of a different era. The women are all oh-so-glamourous lounging by the pool in their brilliant jewels, oversized shades and brightly colored turbans (maybe I need to add a head scarf to my suitcase?). Happy Friday! Am I the only one who felt like this week was extra, extra long? I’ve been counting down the days until Christmas, and I’m so glad it’s (almost) finally here! I’m especially looking forward to my vacation next week. I’m headed to the beach first thing Monday morning! (Don’t you love this image? It’s one of my favorite Slim Aarons shots. It’s actually of his wife lounging in the pool on Christmas. Look at those floating ornaments!). I’m so ready to escape for some fun in the sun with friends and family.
