Spotted: Stacy Adams, Neiman Marcus‘ Contemporary Buyer, sporting a lace romper at Chicago’s Lollapalooza. As you all know, I’ve been loving the lace look this season and summer chic piece certainly qualifies. I’ll definitely be wearing my romper out during these last couple weeks of summer. Here are some easy ways to get the look:
I’ve had my eye on this one for awhile. And now that the Phillip Lim Pashli Satchel has officially hit stores, I can’t seem to get my mind off of it. I love everything about it: the double zipper (which looks equally cool left open or zipped up), the shark-effect leather, and the size is just right. It appears that it’s available in four chic color options: black, navy, green, and taupe. I think the taupe might be my favorite, or maybe the green? They’re all fabulous! What do you think?
Envelope clutches are all the rage right now. I’ve seen them in every size, shape and color under the moon. Now, thanks to Jenny Darden, we can make our own version! Darden has provided these simple step-by-step instructions so we’ll have our new clutches in no time. I can’t wait to pick out a fun fabric and give this a try this weekend. Customize with your favorite color (or maybe college colors) or make a bold statement with a neon. Let us know if you attempt to this D.I.Y.!
It’s our favorite kind of party, right? We all like to see the stacks of bracelets lining people’s arms. Refinery29 likes it too! They’ve given us plenty of eye-candy with their collection of “Best-Dressed Wrist” photos. These snaps include the wrists of some NYC’s chicest ladies, including Teen Vogue’s Accessories Director Shiona Turini and Harper’s Bazaar’s Joanna Hillman. These ladies know how to layer it on! Not only do we get to see some serious arm parties happening, but the individuals are revealing some of their tricks of the trade. Check it out right here!
Today I’m over at Things That Sparkle where I’m sharing all of my favorite things in my home. I’ve always been a huge fan of this series on TTS (it’s fun to get a peek inside other people’s homes, right?), so I was thrilled when Alex asked if I would participate. Now you can take a peek inside my house. I hope you’ll head over there and check it out! Plus you’ll want to see her blog anyway – it’s full of fabulous things!
This season the flat favorite is the penny loafer. It seems almost every designer is offering a version of the classic shoe this season. There’s even plenty of stiletto options out there! A pair of loafers adds a decidedly preppy, but cool appeal to any look. These will be such a great option when I need a break from ballet flats, don’t you think? (I just purchased this Steve Madden leopard pair, and I can’t wait to wear them!) Pair these shoes with skinny jeans or a little dress and you’re set! What do you think? Are you into the loafer look?
