Memorial Day To Do List: A DIY Proenza Schouler inspired rope necklace (preferably while lakeside). If you’ve tried your hand at friendship bracelets then this should be easy to tackle. I love the neon colors they choose for their accent strings and I know I’ll be searching out that hot pink one this weekend!
1. 3.1 PHILLIP LIM 2. MARNI 3. TINLEY ROAD 4. PROENZA SCHOULER
What better way to start off a week than with a fabulous giveaway? You all know how much I love statement jewelry pieces – especially the earring kind – so you can imagine how thrilled I am that Vivre
is offering to give one of Luella & June’s readers a pair of their super chic chandelier earrings
. The winner will even get to choose from three chic color options – emerald, amethyst, or lapis. They’re pretty wonderful, aren’t they? I love how versatile they are – you could wear them to a cocktail party or simply throw them on with a white tee and jeans.
To enter for a chance to win, simply leave us a comment on this post telling us which color you would choose if you won. Also, be sure to include your e-mail address so that I can contact you if you win! For an extra chance to win, you can tweet about this giveaway. Be sure to tag @LuellaAndJune and @Vivre_Eva and include the link to this post. Good luck!
All entries must be received by this Thursday, May 19, 2011. I will announce the winner on Friday, May 20.
I’m really loving all of the monochromatic looks I’ve been seeing lately. I’m used to seeing the classic white-on-white look (one of my favorites), but recently there’s been a lot of tonal ensembles in other colors. Getting this look right really comes down to one thing: pairing different shades of the same color together. Wearing the same shade of one color from head-to-toe just doesn’t work (I even think an all black look could use a hint of gray somewhere). If you’re not quite ready to do the full-blown monochromatic look then add in subtle accents colors with your accessories.I think Eva Longoria got the look just right! Tan is such a flattering color on her, and she mixed the different tones of brown together perfectly. What do you think?
