There are few things I love more than fabulous photography books – especially those with snaps by Slim Aarons (see my about page). That’s why Hotel Il Pellicano is my latest must-read. The book chronicles the Italy hotel’s legendary history, including photographs of the glamorous individuals (Emilio Pucci, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., and Britt Ekland, to name a few) who frequented the hotel. With snaps from 3 photographers (Aarons, John Swope, and Juergen Teller), you’ll get 3 different perspectives on the beautiful destination. Add it to your coffee table list!
I always adore a black and white combo – especially in a blazer! Last week I came across this photo of Katie Holmes in this Stella McCartney number, and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since. I love this look – really simple, but chic. This is one of those “wear forever” jackets. At $1895, though, it’s not exactly budget friendly. Good thing Zara has a very similar piece at a price that won’t break the bank.
There’s nothing that feels more like spring and summer than the color yellow. The sunshine-y hue instantly brightens up anything! I love the way it lightens up a room when incorporated in a home (do any of you have yellow in your adode?). Or add into your wardrobe for a bold and cheerful look. Check out this adorable video from Kate Spade (where yellow is this month’s color). It’s sure to put you in a yellow mood!

Haven’t you ever wanted to take a peek into the wardrobes of fashion’s most notable insiders? Now you can with The Coveteur. Founded by Erin Kleinberg and Stephanie Mark, The Coveteur offers a glimpse into the inspirational closets of all of your fashion industry favorites (think Teen Vogue’s Mary-Kate Steinmiller and Katherine Power of Who, What, Wear, to name a couple). The photographs are so gorgeous! (At the very least, they’ll make you want to get up and organize your closet!) I really can’t get enough of this site. My favorite part? The comments that accompany each of the photos. You get to hear the little stories behind each of the pieces. Updated weekly with new fashion eye candy, this site is one you’ll want to bookmark!

While doing a little online browsing last week, I spotted this J.J. Winters chain strap handbag and knew that it was something I needed in my closet. How adorable is this little bag? I love its shape and size – perfect for a night out! – and the chain strap detail just adds a touch of classic style. The best part? At $99, it won’t break the bank! It’s just such an easy bag, don’t you agree? And so many colors to choose from!
I think I’ll carry this lime green version across my body all summer long…

Those who know me know that I have a minor obsession with stripes. Any color, thick or thin, stripes are simply a favorite of mine. So, you can imagine my delight when I stumbled upon Chance, a clothing line that was built around the iconic blue-and-white striped tee. Created by former Kate Spade Creative Director Julia Leach, the line focuses on simple, timeless designs (think French wardrobe essentials) like striped cotton dresses, flat espadrilles, and canvas totes. I adore those striped PJ’s! There is definitely a relaxed vibe to Leach’s creations – makes me think of lazy days spent at the beach. Check it out here!
As a longtime Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen fan and a major Row devotee, I was thrilled when I logged on to Vogue.com this afternoon and saw this article featuring the darling duo. Photographed by Bruce Weber and interviewed by Sarah Mower, MK and A reveal details about their relationship with one another and discuss the story behind their CFDA-nominated brand The Row. Aren’t the photographs gorgeous? Check out the interview right here!
