Call it a Hallmark holiday all you want, but I have and always will loved Valentine’s Day. In fact, it’s my second-favorite holiday. (Christmas is first, obviously.) What’s not to love about an entire day dedicated to, well, love? I just can’t get enough of all the pink and red candy and heart-shaped decorations. (Idea! How cute would it be to have a “Galentine’s” dinner and place individual boxes of these at each place setting?) While I’ll certainly surprise my hubby with a card (already ordered this one from Etsy) and some sort of gift, too, Valentine’s is really more of an opportunity for me to treat the special gals in my life.

With the holiday just two weeks from today (!), I’ve started the hunt for Cupid-approved goodies that are sure to thrill. If you’re looking to splurge on jewelry, look no further than Jennifer Meyer. I’m obsessed with everything she designs. How sweet would this be? You also can’t go wrong with a fab pair of earrings: I vote for these or these. I love gifting my mom and sister a new pair of pajamas. Sleepy Jones makes some of the best (love this set), and I also ADORE this silk heart-print set from Stella McCartney. This year, my under-$100 favorite is a set of Connor’s notecards. It’s just a touch witty and perfectly suited for Valentine’s Day love notes. For $30-and-under thrill, my go-to is some sort of beauty buy. Maybe a fab red lipstick (Nars’ “Heat Wave” is an all-time favorite of mine) or bottle of nail polish. Who wouldn’t love a bottle of Chanel’s perfectly-pink “Ballerina” polish? Of course, when all else fails, head straight for the candy and cookies. You know you can’t go wrong with either of those!
