12 NEW YEAR’S EVE OUTFITS FOR UNDER $200

nye-vert

Christmas may be behind us (always makes me a little sad when it ends!) but we’ve still got New Year’s Eve to look forward to. If there’s one night to pull out your most festive wear, it’s undoubtedly New Year’s Eve. If you’re still thinking about what to wear, you’ve come to the right place. Per our annual tradition, I’ll be spending the next week in the Bahamas (I’m headed to Harbour Island right at this very moment) which means I’ll be taking a beachy approach (think: white jeansthese sandals + this sequin top) to my NYE look. But that doesn’t mean I haven’t come across some fab options that are perfectly suited for a party right here at home. (If you are, in fact, staying at home on NYE, please wear these. They’re $38. I love them.) Bonus: a lot of them are on the budget-friendly side, too! Ahead, a hit list of under-$275 favorites so you can end the year (and start the new one!) as chic as can be!

  1. This top from Topshop is basically the definition of New Year’s Eve. Guess what? It’s under $125.
  2. This shiny number is under $200 and an obvious choice for NYE. What I love about it is that while it’s perfectly suited for a cocktail party, I could just easily throw on these silver sandals and wear it at the beach, too.
  3. You can’t go wrong with this sequin t-shirt ($53) and a pair of jeans.
  4. While a dress is a perfectly fine option, a jumpsuit is less expected and just as chic. I love this bright red one! Or go the non-color route and wear this white one with some sparkly earrings. (This metallic one from Topshop could also be an interesting idea.)
  5. The quickest way to make any look more festive? Add feathers! This feathered top ($159!) is a great option with jeans or leather pants.
  6. Speaking of feathers, I think this skirt is downright dreamy. Pair it with a creamy-colored sweater for a winter-white look.
  7. This layered top is one of my favorite under-$100 steals. Wear it with jeans and add a pair of these tassel earrings.
  8. Throw on this little jacket with just about anything and you’re ready for a night out.
  9. J.Crew for the win.
  10. If you’re in for a casual night at home, this poncho ($98!) looks super cozy and has just the right amount of subtle shine.
  11. So this black sequin mini is technically over the $200 mark but it’s way worth it. I actually bought this dress several years ago and was so happy to see it brought back this season. It’s a classic that won’t go out of style, and thanks to Tory Burch’s big sale, you can now score it for 40% off.
  12. This sequin mini is $68 and would totally work if paired with opaque black tights.
